Jewels Art, Craft, and Coffee is run completely by volunteers and is our main point of contact with the larger community throughout the week. Located in the main shopping centre in the town, Bedford Square, it is an arts & crafts and haberdashery shop combined with a coffee shop. 

Jewels regular opening hours are Monday to Friday 9 am to 2 pm. We are sometimes open at other times when we have a special event happening, see the calendar below to see what is happening.

In the colder months, Jewels is an official “warm space“, a place where people can just sit and enjoy some company in a heated space. We are also able to issue foodbank vouchers.

We offer classes and workshops on a wide variety of topics (card-making and knitting/crocheting to name a couple). See the Jewels Workshop FaceBook page for details of upcoming classes/workshops.

Our space is also used by other groups. The Central Bedfordshire Council Health Information Team are frequently in the shop giving out help and advice. Pathways & Perspectives Counselling and Well-Being, a local charity, run monthly Create and Craft workshops and a Wellness group, in addition to one-on-one counselling sessions in our private meeting room upstairs.
